Nicaragua to honor cuban Intellectuals

Cuban Culture Minister Abel Prieto and seven young writers will be awarded Nicaraguas Ruben Dario Cultural Independence Award on Saturday at a public ceremony presided over by President Daniel Ortega.
Rosario Murillo, coordinator of the governments Citizenship and Communications Council, announced the decision to award the Cuban intellectuals during a ceremony in which Daniel Ortega granted distinctions to a group Nicaraguan culture workers.
We will recognize the Cuban intellectuals huge efforts on behalf of the cultures of Latin America, said Murillo, also the wife of President Ortega.
The awards ceremony for the Cuban creators will take place in an indigenous neighbourhood of the city of Masaya, 30 kilometers east of Managua.
