The 2005 National Public Relations Award was granted to Havana's International Conference Center, as an acknowledgement of that institution's excellent work last year.
The award was also granted to professors Emma Cárdenas Acuña and Ana Polanco.
As an acknowledgement of their lifetime achievements, the National Public Relations Circles granted special awards to Abel Bonaro, president of the Academia Center of Public Relations of Argentina, and Sergio Corrieri, president of the Cuban Institute of Friendship with the Peoples (ICAP).
The award is granted every year to professionals and institutions that stand out in the field of public relations both in Cuba and abroad.
Last year's award went to Ricardo Alarcón de Quesada, president of the National Assembly of the People's Power; Eusebio Leal, historian of Havana, and Nicia Agüero, director of the Cuban Fund of Cultural Assets (FCBC).
