Visiting Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Fradkov said a new stage in cooperation between the two countries is opening. "A stage of more intensive interaction between our countries has begun," Fradkov said at a meeting with Cuban parliament speaker Ricardo Alarcon on Friday.
He reminded that Russian President Vladimir Putin's visit to Cuba in 2000 gave a powerful impulse to the development of interaction. "Our countries have maintained political contacts at a rather high level recently," Fradkov said, "my visit sums up the intermediary result, and is another step toward developing our relations in all directions."
