The agenda includes top-level exchanges in the diplomatic, financial-banking and trade fields, as well as in other cooperation areas, sources close to the government told Prensa Latina.
It is expected that at the end of official talks, the parties sign significant agreements to foster economic exchange and political contacts.
This is the most important event in the new stage of re-establishment of bilateral relations in the last six years, after President Vladimir Putin s official visit to Cuba in 2000.
Fradkov's visit coincides with the meeting on September 29 of the Russian-Cuban Managerial Council, with the attendance of some 70 representatives of companies and enterprises from both countries, said the forum s executive secretary Artem Asatur.
Among the interest areas in this bilateral cooperation are transportation, aviation, energy, top technologies, environment and tourism.
