Thus and in his status of EICTV director, the Cuban filmmaker Julio García Espinosa will be the head of a renewed staff.
In an intention to recognize her work, the new staff agreed to confer the distinction of FEISAL Honorary Member to the Argentinean and outgoing President Dolly Pussi.
With seventeen years of existence, FEISAL represents nearly thirty cinema schools in the region and will now face important challenges such as the strengthening of relations among its members and the development of actions to approach to those institutions which are not part of the Federation.
The new President Julio García Espinosa is used to saying that "a country without image is a country that does not exist" and the intention to bring that phrase into fruition has been precisely the commitment accompanying the organization intended to start by one of the problems main roots, the audiovisual teaching.
During this new stage FEISAL will boost exchange of academic experiences among schools which will include the promotion of their different study programs, professional training and the study of challenges brought by the application of new technology especially in the fields of teaching and in that of audiovisual production.
Other initiatives of particular significance will be the presentation of an itinerant exhibit of works carried out by graduates from the FEISAL's schools expected to be enjoyed in the most diverse centers and cultural stages of the continent and the participation of students in a series of TV programs devoted to promote those countries' popular culture and broadcasted by the Argentine Channel 7 and TeleSur.
