Successful cuban performance at European Taekwondo Competitions

The European competitions constituted an important test for the island's team since it was attended by 800 Taekwondo specialists from 30 countries, said Cuban Taekwondo Commissioner Jose Barrientos.

"Our athletes boasted their excellent physical conditions," he said, and added that Cuba took four gold medals in Belgium, two silver medals in Holland, plus two gold and one bronze in Germany.

The Cuban athletes are currently preparing for the 15th Pan-American Games scheduled to take place next July in Rio de Janeiro Brazil.
