The most sceptical visitors are really impressed with the valuable relics kept in the 17 museums existing in the Cuban province of Sancti Spiritus, places where territorial heritage is preserved and culture is promoted.
Worth noting are the specialized collections exhibited in the museum dedicated to the Cuban struggle against terrorist bands and the romantic museum (both of them in Trinidad town), the farmer ethnographic museum in Cabaiguan municipality and the colonial art museum in Sancti Spiritus city.
There is a particular institution on Camilo Cienfuegos' revolutionary activity in the northen municipality of Yaguajay while Major Serafin Sanchez Valdivia, Sancti Spiritus beloved heroe, is honored with a museum built in the same house where he was born 160 years ago.
Museum reports cite almost 200 000 visits during the first semester of the year, most of which have been paid to Trinidads, the third Cuban village founded by Diego Velazquez.
