Venezuelan musicians grace Cubadisco Fair

Prestigious Venezuelan musicians and Cubas National Symphonic Orchestra and choirs officially opened the 2007 Cubadisco Fair on Sunday with a gala concert at Havanas Amadeo Roldan Theater.
The audience enjoyed the skills of symphony conductor Cesar Ivan Lara, choir director Raul Delgado, vocalists Idwer Alvarez and William Alvarado, trumpet player Francisco Flores and guitarist Luis Quintero.
Cary Diez, vice president of the Cubadisco organizing committee, praised the great interest shown by Venezuelas cultural authorities when the South American country was selected as the guest of honor for this years event.
Rafael Bernal, Cubas deputy minister of Culture; Silvia Diaz Alvarado, coordinator of Performing Arts of the Ministry of Culture and Ali Rodriguez, Venezuelas ambassador to Cuba, were also present on the Cubadisco 2007 opening night.
