The meeting was held during two days at the Plaza America Convention Centre in resort city of Varadero, Matanzas and apart from Cuban specialists were present professionals from Venezuela, Mexico, Argentina, Guatemala and Colombia.
Ernesto López, president of the Instituto Cubano de Radio y Televisión (Cuban Institute of Radio and TV) (ICRT, after its initials in Spanish), indicated in his closing speech the high level of the speeches, which showed great knowledge and experiences that went beyond the expectations.
He highlighted the support given by the media to the formation of the values in society and indicated that the communication professionals have always had an active participation in reporting the events.
The president of the ICRT assured that for the Cubans a broadcaster is a bastion as a spreader of information and orientations that contribute to the mobilization of the people and to increase the moral and spiritual richness of the people.
