President Raul Castro on Friday presented a flag to the Cuban delegation to the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games, in a ceremony at Havana"s Convention Center.

The president gave the flag to wrestler Mijain Lopez, world and Pan-American champion of the 120 kilogram division in the Greco-Roman style.
After handing in the national flag, Raul Castro greeted several delegation"s members, along with other leaders of the State, the Sports Institute, and the Cuban Olympic Committee (COC).
Hammer thrower Yipsi Moreno, Olympic and world medallist, read the athletes" oath, and affirmed “Beijing is an attainable goal.”
Cuba will be represented in Beijing by 165 athletes, 48 of them women, who will compete in 16 sports disciplines.
