Cuba will be the guest of honor to the second edition of the La Nao Acapulco International Festival, to take place November 1-5 in that emblematic spa.
Mexican authorities informed it was decided to dedicate the event to Cuba due to the significance for Mexico of celebrations marking the 155th birth anniversary of Cuban National Hero Jose Marti this year.
Fabiola Vega, municipal secretary of Acapulco's Social Development, highlighted in press conference the historic links between the two countries, particularly the contribution of Cuban medical brigades and other professionals in that region.
Along with Cuba, Japan, China, Philippines, Indonesia, and South Korea will be represented in the festival as well.
