A Cuban visual arts exhibition is featured as part of the activities of the 14th edition of the International Festival of Contemporary Art, underway in the city of León, in the Mexican state of Guanajuato.
The exhibition includes photographs and videos by Cuban artists such as René Peña, Roberto Diago, René Rodríguez, Cirenaica Moreira and Marta María Pérez, reports the Cuban Foreign Ministry's website.
With Idalma Fantirroche, Elvira Rosa Castro and Sandra Contreras as curators, the artists propose a "reflection on the body as a zone of tolerance and time, in a context that takes into account gender, race, religion and society."
Outstanding in the festival are presentations by Juana Molina, Kristin Hersh, Mélissa Laveaux, Daniel Veronese, UBU Theater, the Tania Pérez-Salas Company, Akemy Takeya and The Legion of the Dwarfs, among other guest artists.
