The Territorial Oncological Center, at the Vladimir I. Lenin, opened wards for pediatric radiotherapy and clinical trials.
The two services mark the beginning of a qualitatively new period in treating cancer patients from the provinces of Holguín, Las Tunas and Granma.
With those actions, the center is achieving its goals of preventing risk factors, promoting early diagnosis and administering timely treatments.
The chemotherapy ward, whose capacity to treat patients will be doubled, will be inaugurated soon.
