The art exhibition opened at the local headquarters of the Cuban Union of Writers and Artists (UNEAC) and includes pieces by prestigious Canadian artists such as Hers Jacob, Jeffery B. Childs, Cameron Tomsett, Simon Andrew, Noel Bullock and Otis Tamasauskas.

The "R" Evolution exhibition was recently inaugurated in the Cuban province of Cienfuegos as part of cultural exchanges between the cities of Kingston, Canada, and Cienfuegos, twined since 2004.
Provincial UNEAC President Orlando García said that the exhibition reflects contemporary technological advances and the 50th anniversary of the triumph of the Cuban Revolution on January 1, 1959.
He said that this cultural dialogue contributes to eliminating borders and fostering the exchange of experiences between artists.
Also on display is a collection of Cuban pieces exhibited at the recently concluded Cubafest in Kingston, Ontario.
