The eastern Cuban province of Granma is working on diversifying exports, as part of its economic strategy for 2009.

According to experts, efforts are aimed at increasing exports of goods and services.
Nine institutions and 26 export-oriented companies are working on that direction to increase exports of rum, alcohol, bee honey and charcoal.
Other products for export are fish, shrimps, dairies, handicrafts and vegetables, among others.
The province's main exports are shrimps, lobsters, coffee, sugar, ecological honey and citrus.
