For that hall, to open in several galleries in the capital of France, the self-taught artist chose seven canvas paintings.
Blanco Aroche, with pieces exhibited in the National Museum of Fine Arts, mentioned some of the works selected, Muchacha con fruta, Esposo infiel and Muchacho con Plátano.
Together with the local artist, other painters of the Island were called to the French event by request of Gerardo Mouvial, author of the book Arte Mágico en Cuba, text published in Europe.
The volume describes in details the creation of Cuban primitivism painters, a school characterized by the naïve features of perspective; in its pages the writer stresses the contribution of Cubans to colours and makes a special dedicated to Pedro Blanco Aroche.
Pelly, as it is known in the cultural scenery and who lives in San Cristobal municipality, is member of the Union of Cuban Writers and Artists (UNEAC), runs a project of plastic arts for children and has among other plans an exhibit at Painture gallery in Luxembourg the coming May.
