2010.12.14 - 18:27:04 / [email protected]. Cuban Parliament’s Standing Commissions Meet Prior to Full Session. Havana, Cuba.- The 12 standing commissions of the Cuban parliament started their working meetings prior to the Sixth Period of Sessions of the Seventh Legislature.

Deputies will analyze the work done by the commissions throughout the year and they will approve plans to be implemented in 2011.

Each commission will also discuss the state budget projected for the coming year in the sectors relevant to their commissions.

Deputies will meet on Wednesday on a full session to discuss 2010 economic developments and the government’s proposal about updates on the country’s tax system, among other issues.

A summary of the meetings, including the sessions for the discussion of the draft economic and social policies guidelines will be broadcast every day during the period of sessions on Cuban national television.
