Experts on Animal Production From Twenty Countries Will Meet in Havana

The 18th Meeting of the Latin American Association of Animal Production began this morning at Havana’s Palace of the Conventions, with the attendance of scientists, experts, researchers, professors and businessmen dealing with that important field of human development.
Cuba, Brazil, Mexico, Argentina, Colombia and Uruguay are the countries that will present more scientific papers at the meeting.
The conference will be opened by a presentation from Mr. Theodor Friederich, Representative in Cuba of the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization, the FAO.
FAO Expert Tito Díaz, from this UN Organization’s Regional Office for Latin America and the Caribbean, will speak about the contribution of animal production to Food Security in the region.
Technical areas such as the handling of animals, the production of feed, the contribution of science to the development of herds and to animal health and the conservation and trading of animal products will also be covered by this important regional meeting
