The German trio Klazz Brothers and Cuban duo Percussion will join in Praga to play Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart to the beat of Caribbean rhythms.
The experimental project Klazz Brothers made up of Tobias Forster, Kilian Forster and Tim Hahn along with the Antillean band members Alexis Herrera Estevez and Elia Rodríguez Luis will share scenario to play Mozart to the beat of son, salsa, chachachá and merengue.
Mozart meets Cuba is the title of the show beginning on March 20 in the Acropolis Palace of the Czech capital, the organizers reported.
The three German musicians of distinguished philharmonic orchestras will have musical accompaniment by percussionist islanders when playing the Austrian composers La flauta mágica, Don Giovanni, Marcha turca, piano concerts and sonatas.
The project came out during a visit of Dresden Philharmonic Orchestra to Cuba at the time several of its musicians decided to play with Herrera and Rodríguez, the sources said.
Pieces of this experimental music are part of the film Collateral sound track.
