<p style="text-align: justify;">The streets of Cuba filled up with sports enthusiasts on Saturday beginning at 10 a.m., as hundreds of thousands of runners and walkers joined in the Maracuba race of 3,000 or 4,000 meters. The popular run, held simultaneously all over the country, is the prelude to the Marabana marathon on Sunday, where more than 2,500 runners from 63 countries will compete, according to the event´s director, Carlos Gattorno. Along with the marathon, runners compete in the 5k, 10k, 15k and 21k categories.
