Cuban Singer Raul Paz Performs at German Music Festival

<p style="text-align: justify;">Renowned Cuban artist Raul Paz participates in the 23rd African Music Festival in Wuerzburg, in the German state of Bavaria.This edition of the event is dedicated to Caribbean islands, due to Africa’s influence in the region, according to information provided by Cuba’s embassy to Berlin. A musician, a singer and a Goodwill Ambassador of the United Nations Education, Science and Culture, Paz offered an only concert last Saturday, broadcast live and inserted on the Web site of the French German television channel Arte. Heavy Rains Reported in Several Cuban Provinces

Cuba gets high-speed internet connection

It's been four months since Cuban officials stood on the shores of the island's south coast and hailed the arrival of a new undersea fiber optic link to Venezuela, notching it as a new blow to U.S. imperialism. The cable is due to go online this summer and once Cuban authorities finally turn on the juice, bandwidth capacity for the least-connected country in the hemisphere will leap by a factor of 3,000.
