HAVANA, CUBA.- The Cuban film ‘Casa Vieja’, by director Lester Hamlet, had its Canadian premiere earlier this week during the Vancouver Latin American Film Festival (VLAFF) that is under way in that city until Sunday with the exhibition of 26 feature films, about 30 shorts, and a mix of fiction and documentary. According to a press release from the Cuban Film Institute (ICAIC), the movie, which is scheduled to be screened again on Friday at the SFU Harbour Centre, had its premiere at the Pacific Cinematheque, where Lester Hamlet answered questions from the audience.
