Actors take the streets in Cuba
The fourth Street Theater Festival began in Matanzas Province last Tuesday with the presence of ten Cuban groups and artists from Argentina, Spain, Canada, Colombia and Mexico.
Cuba's Industriales wins through to Baseball Series final
Cuban baseball team Industriales has beaten Havana 10-0 and will go through to the Cuban Baseball Series final, battling the winner of the Santiago-Villa Clara game. There will be two more games in the Sandino Stadium on Wednesday and Thursday, and further games will take place in Santiago's Guillermon Moncada Stadium on Saturday and Sunday if needed.
National TV channels in Sancti Spiritus mountains
Residents from Topes de Collantes mountains and nearby regions in the Cuban province of Sancti Spiritus are now able to watch good quality television broadcasts after the substitution of the old TV station by a new facility equipped with a state of the art technology.
Cuba and Galicia to celebrate audiovisual event
For the first time in history, Cuba and the Spanish autonomous community of Galicia will celebrate an Audiovisual Meeting from April 20th to 24th, said local magazine Cartelera.

Cuba prepares to meet natural disasters
Authorities from Cuba s National Defense Council are working on preparations for the Meteoro 2007 exercise in May to assess safety levels in case of natural disasters. According to Lt. Col. Domingo Carretero, an expert from that institution, the drill is scheduled for May 19-20 and will be aimed at assessing the level of safety and measures to be taken to reduce casualties and damage.

Sexto Sentido's CD launch concert
Sexto Sentido will launch their first CD, Mi Feeling, during a concert on April 21st at Havanas Teatro Nacional. The concert, promoted by the Colibri record label and the National Council for Popular Music, is dedicated to "those who love and are loved, and who open up their feelings only expecting love in return."
Cubas Foreign Minister begins Asia tour
Cuban Foreign Minister Felipe Perez Roque begins a tour of Asian countries on Wednesday that includes India, Vietnam and the Peoples Republic of China.
