Zambia sports Minister visits Cuba
Gabriel Namulambe, Zambia's Minister of Sports, Youth and Child Development began an official visit to Cuba on Monday.
Cuba to Restore Port Facilities
Important Cuban ports will be restored this year as part of a program to last till 2010, to modernize those facilities and increase their efficiency, announced Transportation Ministry authorities.

Cubas youth computer clubs, not just for kids
With the world well into the new information age, close to 1.2 million Cubans have benefited from a range of courses offered since the Youth Computer Club program was initiated. With more than 600 facilities in place across the country, expectations are that another million students can be trained every four years.

"Varadero Jazz Session" is announced
The "Varadero Jazz Session", an event summoned by the Cuban Ministries of Culture and Tourism, will be taking place the coming September. This festival, presided over by the Cuban virtuoso, Chucho Valdes, will gather a big group of outstanding jazz musicians from Cuba and abroad.
A heartfelt art tribute
The slim figure of the Spanish flamenco dancer Antonio Gades has been portrayed in a tribute sculpture. It stands on the terrace of the Palacio de Lombillo overlooking the Plaza de la Catedral in Old Havana.

In spite of adverse weather, horticultural production mantained
Even though the climate this winter was completely adverse, urban agriculture could maintain its production targets in the first trimester of this year of harvesting 375,396 tons of vegetables and fresh condiments, 6% higher than that planned.
