Cuban film about author Lezama Lima
A film about the life of Cuban author José Lezama Lima will start shooting next week in Havana, directed by filmmaker and scriptwriter Tomás Piard. The film, funded by Instituto Cubano de Arte e Industria Cinematográficos (ICAIC) will be entitled El Viajero inmóvil. Lezama Lima was born in 1910 and died in 1976. He was an outstanding poet and narrator.

Cuba, World Third in Youth Philately
Youth Philatelists help Cuba rank third world runner up in the study and collection of stamps and other postal pieces. The annual award ceremony of the Cuban Philately Federation at the Jose Marti Monument chose Daniel Montes Young Philatelist of the Year after winning the Grand Prix of the World Expo Malaga 2006.
Cuba Donates Eye Hospital to Panama
Cuba s Foreign Minister Felipe Perez Roque is due to open in Panama on Friday an ophthalmologic center, donated by Havana, to offer free eye surgery for low-income Panamanian patients.
